The Doll Lady Herself
My Journey as a fibre artist began at just 10 years old, when I learned how to sew a fluffy, fully jointed teddy bear by a wonderful lady who made bears for charity, From that moment, I fell in love with creating by hand and spent many years designing and constructing fully jointed bears on my own. I later went on to create Waldorf [Steiner] dolls, which became tremendously successful and allowed me to further explore my passion for handcrafted artistry. Around 10 years ago, I discovered crochet and being completely self-taught , I started with the simplest pieces before quickly developing an enormous appetite to learn and create more. I immersed myself in crocheting anything and everything, continually pushing my skills and creativity further. Art has always been part of who I am, and today I use all of these skills to create unique fibre art pieces, that combine craftsmanship, imagination, elegance and a touch of enchantment.
